In charge of the comprehensive management, close-down and establishment of ports (including Grade One and Grade Two Ports); inspecting and coordinating the inspection and quarantine authorities in terms of the inspection, quarantine and security check on the personnel, goods and transportation vehicles crossing border in line with China’s relevant laws and regulations; drafting and overseeing plans on the allocation and utilization of port construction fees and subsidy funds in cooperation with relevant departments; carrying out surveys, and raising suggestions on how to deepen the reform of port administration and to strengthen the comprehensive management of ports; and organizing the campaigns on building good-service ports.
